Students help refugees with community integration
“From students to students: students and refugees uniting for integration into society and education.”
The increasing numbers of forced displacement is causing a very real and current global migration and refugee crisis today. But societies worldwide are struggling to provide a long-term solution to the issue.
The Alzette (AU) Student Committee believes that all refugees need a practical and quick solution to social integration and quality education.
The 2020 consultation training for student mentors, both mentors and the refugee interns had significant improvement in their self- reported consultation skills and ability to promote students’ emotion, engagement and behavioral skills.
The programme is aimed at empowering refugee students in building themselves and engaging with other refugee teachers via consultation.
